PALENQUE BAR

Palenque is a Spanish Word that refers to traditional huts or light wood structures that exist in the coastal areas of Costa Rica.  We have borrowed the concept to set up a remote bar within the tropical gardens of Tabacon, next to secluded and private river pools, with spectacular views of the Arenal Volcano.

The Palenque Garden Bar is a multi-use facility in Tabacon.  It is open daily in the afternoons and early evenings for guests that look to enjoy a private moment in the hot springs, and have bar facilities nearby.  It is also one of the preferred wedding locations, where we set up tents for the ceremony and use the bar’s facilities to cater cocktails.  The Palenque bar is also used for private group functions, and offers daily grilled snacks for guests that want a light meal in the early evening.

Currently the Palenque Bar is closed for renovations.  When open we offer daily happy hour from 5 to 7 pm, with typical Costa Rican tapas, cocktails and local beer.
