Exclusive spa therapy

Temazcal is a pre-Hispanic steam bath ritual that is widely used in Mesoamerican cultures, intended as both a spiritual and physical cleansing experience. The experience takes place in a womb-like structure, where energy from the center of the earth and from all four winds is summoned and flows in circular motion, in direct relation to the natural elements which make up this magical place: Earth, Water, Fire and Air.

Huey Temazcal Aahuatlan, the Grand Temazcal of the Rain Forest, is led by our own resident Shaman who applies a series of therapeutic practices including hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, chanting, visualization, and meditation exercisesñ while guiding the mind to a state of relaxation, heightened awareness and wellbeing.

Through the Temazcal process, the body is detoxified, purifying the respiratory tract and digestive system, and toning the nervous system. Additionally, the heat and the healing properties of the different medicinal plants used in the therapy are known to alleviate bone, muscle and other systemic afflictions.
