    Tabacon is committed to sustainability through our environmental practices and by promoting awareness and education within our community and our hotel. We recognize the impact of our operations on the environment and we continually review and evolve our policies, believing in active and meaningful participation in green strategies. We also recognize that we are active members of our community and seek ways to improve the lives of our neighbors and all inhabitants of La Fortuna de San Carlos.


    Our Sustainability Plan is based on 7 areas: governance, internal public, environment, suppliers, responsible marketing, community and public politics; our aim is to create value to all our stakeholders.

    We are proud to be credited with the highest category of 5 leaves in the Certification for Sustainable Tourism (CST), granted by Costa Rican Board of Tourism.


    We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of corporate governance and act with integrity, honesty, respect and professionalism in our daily operations. Our governance framework, led by the Board of Directors, supports Tabacon’s culture, values and our commitment to conducting business responsibly.

    The Tabacon Code of Conduct sets out the principles of action with its proper applications, not only for all our staff members, but also for our stakeholders.
